Chris began his career in his teens breaking into the South Jersey/Philly Rock Scene performing original music with various bands. In the early 90's Chris divided his time between Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York doing session work for various artists on Warner Bros. and A&M., all while studying with Guitar Virtuoso Greg Howe.
After two years on the road Chris delved deeper into his studies by working with Jazz Guitar legend Pat Martino and Jazz Author and Instructor Robert Aslanian all while performing through out the Philadelphia Jazz Circuit . In 1997 Chris was tapped by Nashville artist Michael Mason to be his touring guitarist and Chris spent the next three years solid touring the country.
While conducting Guitar Clinics on the East Coast Chris was offered the guitar position in RappCity's Production of Rasputin starring Ted Neely. It was here when Chris began his work on extended
range guitars, instruments that would become a cornerstone in his playing approach. . Chris went on to perform all the guitars and mandolin on the album as well as all the performances of the production.
The dawn of the new milunium saw Chris accepting the Music Director position at The Grand School Of Music in Wilmington Delaware. Here he wrote the curriculum for the school as well as ten inner city schools. While this position was his main focus he still found time to work with Arturo Sandoval and perform with Ian Anderson and David Bromberg.
Chris' love for Classical music inspired him to develop The Shred Chamber, a performance program featuring his students preforming the works of Vivaldi, Tchaikovsky, J'S' Bach and Paganini. In September of 2008 The Shred Chamber partnered with The First State Ballet to produce an electrifying performance called The Shred De Ballet.
Chris focuses heavily on ear training, theory, and technique to optimize performance, stamina, and articulation in all areas from stage to studio. From daily practice regimen to repertoire Chris continues to push himself and his students in the never ending landscape of self exploration through music of all styles and genres.
Chris currently teaches online through Zoom and Skype. He has released his latest instrumental album Chronicles Of Chaos available here as well as Spotify.
